VIP COACHING WITH LAURA


You want something.


You think a​bout it a lot.


Wish it was attainable, but know that deep down you just CAN’T do it.


Or you’ll do it SOMEDAY.


But definitely not today.

How many times have you sat and told yourself all the reasons why you couldn't do something? Even if you could- there are just too many obstacles in the way...

Have you ever heard yourself say:

  • "I definitely can't AFFORD it right now!"
  • "I WOULD do it but I have so many other tasks I have to get done."
  • "Oh my goshhhh, what would my husband say if I told him I wanted to do this?!"
  • "If I actually go for it, and it doesn't “work out”, what will my family think of me?"
  • "I can’t even imagine what the gossip would be about me!"
  • "People just don’t DO this kind of stuff- that’s for extremists and risk takers."
  • "What if I failed...?"
  • "It seems dangerous and risky."
  • "I’m not in shape enough. I wouldn't be physically ABLE to do it."
  • "I’m anxious just thinking about doing it!!!"
  • "I just don’t have the willpower like others do!"
  • "I would do it if I had someone to go with me."
  • "I am so new to it that I have no idea what I’m doing!"


SOUND FAMILIAR?

I GET IT. THIS WAS MY STORY TOO.

I had all these dreams, goals and things I “wished” I could do but didn’t go for it because of the million excuses I created for myself.


What it boiled down to was FEAR.


Fear was underneath all of the perceived roadblocks.


Fear that I would fail.


Fear that I wasn’t good enough, strong enough, or worthy enough to have the things I wanted. Fear of leaving my safe life.


Fear of being away from my husband.


Fear of what others would think.


Fear that in the end, I just wasn’t enough.

If you think others that actually do the thing you want to do aren’t scared... 


You’re dead wrong.


They are.


What it comes down to is the choice you make to allow the fear to keep you frozen, or propel you forward through it and come out the other side with more confidence.


Confidence is a gift you receive AFTER you DO THE THING.


When I took a flight across the world to Bali all alone I sat in the car snuggling my dog and wishing he could go with me on the trip as support and comfort.


Desperate for something to cushion my fears.


I stood in the airport in line and shook.


I was excited, but also scared.


So many worries, fears, concerns, and anxieties...


So many things COULD go wrong.


And then I’d be so far away!

When I touched down in Bali my life changed.


I was in a whole new world.


Alone.


And I was free.

I had done something I never dreamed I would or could do.


The retreat I was attending hadn’t even started yet, and I had gained more strength, power, and confidence than I ever asked for because I DID THE THING.


I never looked back.


When I arrived home I promptly took trips to Egypt, Italy, Spain, Greece, learned rock climbing, created my own retreat in Guatemala, signed up for pole dancing lessons, started hiking and biking, and the list goes on and on...


You know why?


Because I realized that FEAR of what others thoughts of me if I failed was what was stopping me.


And guess what?


People will approve and disapprove of everything you do. No matter what. ALWAYS.

So why not do what makes YOU happy?


I went for IT in life.


Not because I wasn't nervous or scared anymore, but because I knew pushing through my fears gave me more and more strength every time. More and more freedom from other’s thoughts about me and my own limitations.
